Can an employer discipline you for posting content on “allnurses.com” as long as you did NOT violate any laws?
Yeah yeah yeah. We all know NOT to post crap online that we do not want our grandparents or bosses to see. I am talking about posts from about 2 years ago in which I vented and laughed at other user posts relating to the nursing field in which I work in. I happen to use the same email and user name for my pager code at work, as on allnurses.com and started getting worried since I started revisiting this site since work has gotten “interesting” lately. I’ve also sought support in my own nursing school issues as well on this site. As long as I do not use my employer’s name or break privacy laws, can I be disciplined at my current job if they happen to “Google” this certain username. Yes, when I registered at this site, I did use all my real info at the time.
